Finding the Similarities Between The Two Exams

Now that you have understood the exam pattern for these two exams in great detail, it's time for a deep analysis. Finding the common grounds for both the exams can help you learn faster and more effectively. This is a way to work smarter, instead of putting in hard work blindly. Like from common understanding, we get that both exams are divided into two levels. Again both are based on MCQs and hence we need to work more focusing on clarity of concepts rather than learning.

If we dive further, for level 1 of both the exams, be it prelims we are talking about or the Tier-1 to SSC CGL, the subjects of English language and quantitative aptitude remain the same. Moreover, the topics under these also remain the same, making it easier for you to prepare. Also the portion of reasoning ability in both the exams is also the same. Again in level two of both the exams, the English language portion and the section of reasoning and computer aptitude is entirely the same.

Make A Detailed Study Plan

We can't stress it enough. With so many subjects and such a huge syllabus to cover, it's easy to lose track of your learning and there's a great potential of slacking off. Which isn't going to help you reach your dreams. Hence, what you need to do is make a well detailed study plan. This will help you learn in a systematic way without feeling overwhelmed.

Some of the points to keep in mind when formulating your study plan includes:

  • Have enough breaks. Leave enough room in your schedule to have regular breaks or else it might lead to a burnout or you might not stick to the plan in the long term.

  • Do not plan too much for a day. Try to keep it realistic and even aim for a bit less than your strengths. That way you won't feel demotivated at the end of the day.

  • Ensure that there is a special slot for daily revision in your routine. Because revision is important.

  • Once you are completed with 50% of the syllabus, integrate practice papers and mock tests into your daily routine.

  • For making it more easy, try adding a mix of learning and practice into your daily routine. Like pair up subjects which require learning with subjects which need written practice. Like, for example, pairing up reasoning with general awareness, and English language with quantitative aptitude can be a good idea.

  • Lastly, test and see what works for you. And if you are still confused and need guidance, give us a call. Power Mind Institute is always here for you!

  • Also keep yourself updated with the latest news and current affairs. It would be easy to follow them as they unfold in the course of time instead of keeping the pile away for last-minute learning.
