Syllabus Or RRB NTPC Exam
The Syllabus of the RRB NTPC exam comes with four sections: General Awareness, General Intelligence, Mathematics and Reasoning. For detailed information go through the following:
General Awareness: This section includes various topics to test the candidate's knowledge of current affairs, general knowledge and events happening around the world. Topics covered in this section are history, geography, economics, politics, sports, culture and science.
General Intelligence: This section of the examination tests the candidate's ability to reason, analyze and solve problems. Topics included in it are coding and decoding, analogies, nonverbal reasoning, blood relations, series, syllogism, decision making and verbal reasoning.
Mathematics: This section is there to test the mathematical skills and their ability to apply mathematical concepts to solve problems. Topics present in it are fractions, decimals, number systems, percentages, ratios and proportions, profit and loss, time and duration, time and work, algebra and geometry.
Reasoning: This section of this CBT test was conducted to take a look at the candidate's logical reasoning and analytical skills. Topics present in it are data interpretation, puzzles, data sufficiency and statement reasoning.
Eligibility Criteria of RRB NTPC Exam
This exam needs some eligibility to appear. We've mentioned those criteria in the following:
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a well-reputed and recognized board.
Age Limit: The candidates who are looking towards this exam must be between 18 years to 30 years. There are certain age relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Nationality: The candidates must be Indian Citizens.
Medical Fitness: They should meet the required medical standards specified by the Indian Railways.

Stages of RRB NTPC Exam:
Computer-Based Test Stage 1st: This is the first stage of the RRB NTPC exam is a computer-based test in which candidates are tested on the basis of General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and reasoning. These questions are of objective type and the exam duration is 90 minutes and negative marking for each wrong answer.
Computer-Based Test Stage 2nd: This stage includes objective-type questions on mathematics, general intelligence, reasoning and general awareness. The duration of this exam is 90 minutes and also has negative markings for each wrong answer.
Typing Skill Test/Computer-Based Aptitude Test: The aspirants who applied for the post require typing skills or computer-based aptitude. The candidates must appear for a typing skill test or CBT depending upon the post they have applied for.
Document Verification: Once the candidates have qualified for CBT stage 2 and typing skill test will be called for document verification. The applicants should have all the documents to prove their eligibility that includes educational qualifications, age, caste, etc.
Exam Pattern of RRB NTPC Exam:
Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage 1:
- The exam duration is 90 Minute
- There will be a total of 100 objective-type questions
- The questions will be based on General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning
- The correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage 2:
- The duration of this exam is 90 Minutes
- Total 120 objective-type questions are there
- The questions will be based on General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Mathematics.
- The correct answers will be rewarded with 1 mark and wrong ones will deduct 1/3rd marks
Typing Skill Test:
- The candidates should be applied for this exam should have typing skill
- Test the candidate's decision-making and problem-solving ability.
